Known as Target Display Mode, the company unfortunately dropped the feature from the model launched in late 2014 and it has never returned.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to do the same with later iMacs, there is <a href=\"https:\/\/astropad.com\/blog\/step-by-step-guide-how-to-use-your-imac-as-a-monitor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an app for that<\/a>, as <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2024\/08\/12\/use-imac-as-monitor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">we outlined last year<\/a>.
